Ed is a Thornton & Naumes senior partner and trial attorney. Among dozens of mesothelioma and asbestos cases brought to trial, he and David McMorris achieved the first successful jury verdict in a Massachusetts asbestos case. Ed is admitted to practice in Masachusetts, the United States District Court of Masachusetts, and the United States Court of Appeals First Circuit. He has also been admitted to many other jurisdictions across the country for the purpose of representing plaintiffs in those areas. He is a past president of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. Ed graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts with a BBA and MBA in Business Administration and received his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University in 1980. Mr. Donohue is a member of the Massachusetts and Maine Bar Associations, the American Association for Justice, the Main Trial Lawyers Association and the Catholic Lawyers Guild. He is a magna cum laude graduate of St. Anselm College, Suffolk University Law School, and St. Johns Preparatory School.
For over two decades, Attorney Donohue has represented individuals who have sustained serious injuries as a result of the negligent conduct of product manufacturers, landlords, vessel owners, and vehicle operators. Andrew is a Thornton & Naumes partner and trial attorney. He has successfully argued before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (Spellman v. Shawmut Woodworking & Supply, Inc., et al, 445 Mass. 675 (2006)). Robert M. Byrne, Jr. concentrates his practice in areas involving the representation of victims of defective products, employer negligence, and premises liability. Mr. Byrne has litigated claims against manufacturers, railroads, construction companies, paper mills, insurance companies, and numerous other large commercial organizations. He has represented individuals who have been disabled by defectively designed tools, contaminated food, toxic materials, unsafe stairways and walkways, and negligent motorists. His clients have been the victims of burns, electric shock, skeletal and head injuries, amputations, psychiatric disorders and death.
Mr. Byrne is also a member of the Massachusetts bar, the New York Bar, the United States District Court for the Districts of Massachusetts and New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit Bar. He has been admitted Pro Hoc Vice to the Bars for the United States District Courts of Maine, Rhode Island, New York, and Vermont. Andrea Marino Landry is a partner at Thornton & Naumes LLP. She joined the firm as an associate in 2005 after previously clerking at the firm. David is the Thornton & Naumes asbestos litigation manager. He has been with the firm since 1989. He manages our mesothelioma and asbestos casework and paralegal staff. David has investigated thousands of cases involving direct and indirect (bystander, family member) exposure to a wide range of asbestos-containing products. His knowledge, experience , and investigative energy has him working closely with our clients and trial teams of attorneys and paralegals on asbestos product and exposure issues to ensure a thorough investigation of each case . He is a graduate of Connecticut College, and earned an MBA from Northeastern University.

Joseph is a senior trial paralegal at Thornton & Naumes. Joe began working at the firm as an asbestos paralegal in 1996. In 1999, Joe joined the trial team to work on mesothelioma and asbestos trial cases, a position he maintains today. Joe is also responsible for cataloging and updating the firm’s asbestos data and documents obtained over the past thirty years of the firm's asbestos practice. Joe is a graduate of Boston University (BA, 1992) and has been an ABA certified paralegal since 1996.
