The Thornton & Naumes House
New England's home-away-from-home for mesothelioma and asbestos disease patients and families

A long-time supporter of Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s International Mesothelioma Program, Thornton & Naumes pledged in 2007 an additional $1 million to provide housing assistance to mesothelioma and cancer patients and their loved ones. The result of this commitment is the Thornton & Naumes House located at 48 Francis Street in Boston, Massachusetts. Opened in July of 2008 and located directly across the street from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, the house has already served as the “home-away-from-home” for hundreds of mesothelioma patients and family members, providing inexpensive, convenient housing for patients and families that must come to Boston for longer-term treatment and care.
